Carpet &Upholstery Cleaning

  • The Client must ensure the area is vacuumed well prior to arrival.
  • The Client must ensure any small breakable items are removed.
  • The Client must ensure we’re made aware of any items that need moving in the room at quoting stage, Sofas etc.
  • The Client must make us aware of stains at quoting stage, some stains may not come out but we are fully trained in advance spot stain removal and carry a variety of products to try and resolve.
  • We try to minimise any inconvenience to you by specifying an expected time of arrival at booking stage, however, please allow a one hour window around the specified time. We will contact you on the day of your service with an accurate arrival time.

Pricing

We reserve the right to amend the initial quotation, should the customer’s original requirements change.

Access

The customer is responsible for providing access to their property at the scheduled time. If we are unable to gain access to the property, as a result of customer failure to make reasonable arrangements for access, we will request the full cancellation fee (the cost of the job).

Deposit

A non refundable deposit may be required to secure a slot. We will accept changes or cancellations to the booking up to 72 hours prior. Any changes or cancellations made (for whatever reason) within 72 hours of the booking will result in a loss of deposit paid. A further deposit would then be required to book any subsequent slots.

Payment

Unless otherwise agreed in writing by The Magic Carpet, the payment is required on the completion of the work. Cash and Card payments are accepted as well as BACS payments.BACS payments must be made once the job has been completed.

Cancellations (applicable where no deposit paid)

Please take into consideration that we are a small business and if a customer cancels without giving us sufficient notice, we will be left out of pocket. It is very difficult to fill the vacated gap if we haven’t been given at least 72 hours notice.

The customer can cancel the scheduled service by giving prior notice 72 hours before the confirmed booking time without incurring any cancellation fees..

For cancellations later than 72 hours (for whatever reason), 50% of the job fee will be due

We reserve the right to refuse any cleaning job if the condition of the property is hazardous to the health and well-being of our operatives.

We have the right to cancel or reschedule a service in cases where an accident or any unexpected circumstances have befallen the assigned member of our team.

Rescheduling

As with cancellations, the customer can reschedule the appointment by giving prior notice 72 hours before the confirmed booking time without incurring any rescheduling fees.

Any appointments rescheduled within 72 hours of the appointment may be subject to a rescheduling fee. The fee will depend upon the time allowed for us to refill the slot up to 50% of the fee.

Claims

All services shall be deemed to have been carried out to the Client’s satisfaction unless written notice is received by The Magic Carpet with details of the complaint within 24 hours of the work being completed. We will fully investigate any complaint and attempt to resolve it to the satisfaction of the Client, or alternatively to a reasonable standard.

In case of damage, proven to be caused by us,The Magic Carpet will repair the item at its cost. If the item cannot be repaired we will rectify the problem by crediting the customer with the item’s present actual cash value toward a like for like replacement.
